To Marry or not to Marry ...

I chuckled yesterday when I read this posting on FB.

Indeed.

Well, it certainly applies to me! Yeah, I had married the Right Man!!

For those of you who had just started following me,

THAT DAY WAS 8 June 2001.

Yes, I got married to Joseph-- My Scorpion King, as I had called him .. (He is a Scorpion)

And I became an instant Mum, aka a Step-Mum of Two, The Prince Ah Bing and Princess Joyi.

Frankly, now, I would say it had been a gamble.

I didn't really consider thoroughly, before entering into this marriage, as being a Step-Mum, entails much challenges.

But, now, after 14 years of Fun ride, I HAVE NO REGRETS.

I didn't know what to expect then, until I was faced with many different situations and circumstances and dilemmas, as the initial years, then for the next 10 years, were like a ride on a rollercoaster ride.

Much misunderstandings had occurred, with my in-laws and me, especially when Joseph and I stayed on our own in this Tampines house, and Ah Bing and Joyi were taken care by my in-laws.

Ok. Let me tell you my story.

For one, I really love kids, so I love Ah Bing and Joyi, from the bottom of my heart and doted on them when they were 9 and 5.

I was Ah Bing's piano teacher then.

The two innocent kids always called me Jie Jie, and often Ah Bing would call me on my phone and ask me to buy him new pokemon cards, while Joyi, I would bring her out and buy things for her.

Well, this was what Ah Bing had drawn and I'd still kept it in my closet...

I'd still remember when Joyi was 21, she had asked me to buy her clothes from Top Shop and I did!!

Then, I remembered asking her jokingly if she would take care of me when I get old... she said in msg on my phone that she loves me very much and will take care of me, and that she loves me not becos I buy expensive things for her, but more becos of the love and care that I have given.

That was then.

To tell you the truth, I'd missed those days when they were so close to me, and I feel like a real Mum ...

Well, Joyi calls me Mama and Ah Bing calls me Ah Yi.

Frankly, I'd wanted Ah Bing to call me Mama too!! But he was young at that time, and his Grandpa said to him that he can either call me Mama or Ah Yi, up to him.

I was hurt then, when my Late Father-in-law made that comment.

Anyway, all the unhappiness inside me is way gone now!!!

But I'd really hope that one day, before I go to heaven, Ah Bing, will call me Mama ... Well, I'd remembered one time at the old Tenaga house, he called me Mama softly!!!

I'd think both of them love me too!! It's just that they don't really show to me and on my side, I was demanding for more attention from them... (what are your views on this, my friends?)

Alamak!! What a mistake I'd made!! I should love them more ya?? WTFAID!!!

It must have been due to the past few years that I didn't stay together with them, and the bonding was broken...

(they were taken care by their Grandparents when my late Father-in-law refused to buy my Mother's Tampines Massionatte (That house has many memories of my late maternal Grandma and my brother Kenny)

Everything then went on, with a major misunderstanding between my in-laws and me. My Late Father-in-law didn't utter a word with me for about six months then..

Now, let me go ahead with this, with all of you here.

I think, to me, what is more important in a Marriage, is the love and bond between the two persons, who made their vows. Till Death Do Us Part.

Well, my sister Diana, suggested us to go to a Fortune teller, Master Lu, before the marriage.

Master Lu, told me that I am supposed to have two marriages and Joseph Three. And that my marriage should have a baby to keep the marriage together.

To prevent the breakup, he suggested us to take a second set of wedding pictures in year 2004. We did.

It worked!!!

I was literally on the verge of divorce, when a good musician friend William Gathright from New York, came and stayed with us, for the past two years.

William Salvage my Marriage. (Thank You Willie!!)

I'd remembered the initial years of staying at this Tampines house, just Joseph and me.

Joseph wasn't used to just me and him. Everyday, he would wanna go spend time with his parents and kids. I went through a time of loneliness, often hanging out by myself, and listen to music.

Now, Joseph has changed drastically and love dogs too!!!

So, you see, you must learn to endure ladies!!!

My advice to all of you is this.

It takes both parties to endure and put up with nonsense and Bullshit etc that each other may give.

If you love him/her, STAY AND FIGHT. DON'T LEAVE THEN REGRET.

Leaving a marriage MAY NOT bring happiness to you eventually.

Well, this is just my point of view, for those who have views on this, kindly comment!!!

Now, I shall publish some personal cards and notes (more on my side) to show you ladies, what you should do to make your Man HAPPY --- Write and Draw Cards!!!!

So, As I look Forward to more Birthday Celebrations, for the following days till Sept 28,(esp one during weekends with Ah Bing, his girl and Joyi and my Mum-in-law), I wish all of you a Happy Life and Blissful Marriage!!!

Till then.

God Bless,

Jenny, xxx .
