Deliciously Yummy Prawn Mee @HUA JI

WOW.

This is the word that I'd uttered upon sipping the prawn mee soup @ Huaji, just last week.

It was by chance that I'd stepped into this restaurant at Esplanade Annexe Building, when I went to the Rock concert of Richie Rotzen last week. I was so hungry then, that I left the show and went to Huaji to taste the prawn noodles.

Subsequently, I got in touch with the Boss, Ken Lau, and he had invited me for a food tasting session just days back.

HUAJI, to many, is a household name for its delicious Prawn mee. Now, the third generation of this Prawn Mee establishment, Ken Lau, took a big step to enter into the niche market and set up this restaurant at Esplanade.

Ken did very well, in his marketing and puts in all his time and energy to be involved in all the operations.

This day, I brought my friend Robin and he was all thumbs up for the prawn mee too!!

Here's what Robin has to say!!

I was so excited and did a video of Ken in his kitchen.

The ambience is nice and cosy. Plus, there is free parking during lunch time.

To me, the price of $12.00 for a small bowl of prawn mee is reasonable. To maintain a high standard in the taste, only fresh Indonesian sea prawns are used and airflown in every day. Succulent and tasty, Huaji Prawn mee has a distinct flavor that is incomparable to what you would eat at a local hawker centre.

For a $20.00 bowl, you get 3 gigantic prawns, to go with the savoury dry prawn mee, the signature dish.

For those who wanna splurge, you can order Sparkling Wine too!

In all. I give a rating of 10/10!!!

So, wait no more!!

Pop down to HUAJI after a show at the Esplanade today!!!

God Bless,
